Terms of service

The free mock-up

The mock-up of your new homepage is free and comes with no obligation. If you don't go ahead, you owe nothing and you're welcome to keep the ideas.

The Refresh

• Price: $995 CAD, one time.
• Includes up to 5 pages refreshed on the platform you already use, rewritten words, a tidied Google listing, and 2 rounds of changes.
• Extra pages or extra rounds of changes are quoted before any work starts.
• Timing is about one week from when I have your go-ahead, the first payment and access to your website.

Payment

Nothing is due until you've approved your mock-up. Then 50% is due to start and 50% at launch.

Care Plan

$79 CAD per month for small updates (new photos, hours, specials) and a monthly check-up. You can cancel any time by email.

Other design work

Logos and brand kits, posters and flyers, and social media graphics are quoted per project, in writing, before any work starts. Social media work is design only: you post the graphics on your own accounts.

What I need from you

Collaborator access to your website, answers to a few questions about your business, and the right to use any text, logos and photos you give me.

Ownership

Your website, domain, account and content stay yours. Once the final payment is made, the design work I do on your site is yours too. I may show before-and-after images of the work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.

Your platform

Your site stays on your own Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy or other account. Those platforms' own fees, terms and outages are outside my control.

Limits

I do careful work, but I can't guarantee specific results such as search rankings or sales. My total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me for the work involved.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
